Full Hearing Evaluations A complete hearing evaluation includes a thorough case history, a video otoscopy of the ear canal and ear drum, an audiometric testing and an explanation of the findings. While aging and noise exposure are the most common reasons for hearing loss, family history and medical problems can produce just as severe of a loss of hearing. Video otoscopy allows you to see the inside of your ear canal and see what we see! This allows us to determine the presence of ear wax or any other conditions.
Recommendations for Hearing Aid Fittings Once a patient is determined to be a candidate for hearing instrument assistance our Specialist will then present options for Hearing Aid Fittings. There are custom-fitted aids which are made to fit the patient’s ear exactly, and open-fitted aids that have a “tiny tube” carrying the sound to the ear canal. With both types of hearing aids, there is a wide selection of models, sizes and technologies for active lifestyles, cosmetic appeal and most budgets.
Demonstration of the Latest Digital Technology If an open fitted digital hearing instrument is recommended, we have a large inventory of instruments that can be programmed and fitted to your ear and hearing loss. Listening to the sounds of the world and hearing and understanding speech is always better than just beingtold how it will be.These type aids can be fitted in the office and many times a “same day fitting” can be done.
In-Office Service Our patients enjoy cleaning and audiometric adjustment of hearing aids right in our office which makes taking care of your new hearing aids as easy as scheduling an office visit. Regular cleaning checkups can prolong the life of your new hearing aids. If your hearing loss changes we can re-program your digital aids for as long as you own them. This will help keep your understanding of speech at its best for years to come.

Hearing test is an audiometric test to determine proper amplification needs only. These are not medical exams or diagnoses nor are they intended to replace a physician’s care. If you suspect a medical problem, please seek treatment from your doctor. Hearing aids do not restore natural hearing. Individual experiences vary depending on severity of hearing loss, accuracy of evaluation, proper fit and ability to adapt to amplification.
